Happy Teacher's Day!
When I needed You most, Lord
Firstly, I doubt anyone will be reading my blog.. Guess the only reader who's left is none other than Him..
I'm down, i'm stricken, i'm not me again.. I'm sick, i'm sick.. do u understand that i'm sick? i literally have no mood for anything.. i just wished that i can put away everything n just go on a silent retreat.. away from work, away from commitments, away from people.. just a time with the Lord.. I'm just plain tired of everything..
I really thank those who'd offered me their listening hears and their encouragements.. But i've got to admit that i speak lesser these days.. i really dont know how i can put my life in words.. i just cant.. sorry..
Lord, i know that You're with me.. I know that whenever i feel that no one is around for me, You nv fail to show me that You are indeed by my side..
Down with fever, 37.5 degrees.. I just cant make any decision with this state of mind.. I just hope that i can be barred from having to make decisions.. they're just giving me headache, and i'm really tired of it..
Yes, i'm overworking i know.. rest rest rest.. is what i truly need..
Lord, help me to find rest in You.. Restore me..
Go Light Your World
Go Light Your World
Chris Rice
There is a candle in every soul
Some brightly burning, some dark and cold
There is a spirit who brings a fire
Egnites a candle, and makes his home
Carry your candle
Run to the darkness
Seek out the helpless, confused and torn
And hold out your candle
For all to see it
Take your candle and go light your world
Take your candle and go light your world
Frustrated brother, see how he's tried to
Light his own candle some other way
See now your sister she's been robbed and lied to
Still holds a candle, without a flame
Carry your candle
Run to the darkness
Seek out the lonely, the tired and worn
And hold out your candle
For all to see it
Take your candle and go light your world
Take your candle and go light your world
(hey now..nanananana)
Cuz we are a family
Whose hearts are blazing
So lets raise our candles and light up the sky
Prayin to our Father in the name of Jesus
Make us a beacon in darkest times
Carry your candle
Run to the darkness
Seek out the hopeless, decieved and
Hold out your candle
For all to see it
Take your candle and go light your world
Take your candle and go light your world
(hey now nanananana)
Hold our your candle
For all to see it
Take out your candle and go light your world
Take your candle and go light your world
Take your candle and go light your world
More birthday celebration!! (200807)
We gathered for a time of wonderful fellowship as we celebrated Ruth's 22nd birthday at Sushi Teh, to commemorate God's faithfulness in her life for the past 22 years..

Happy Birthday, Sam!
Its Sam's 9th birthday on 18 Aug 07. I cant imagine that he've been with us for 9 years already. Really thank God that he's as healthy as ever. Happy Birthday, Sam! ; )
Photos!
Thank God for a short 'holiday' break..

Rebonded my hair (again) on National Day.. =P

Over and comings
The National Day holiday just went past so fast.. Eversince the last 'break' i had before i started on my new job, I'm still looking forward to another one..
Went cyling at east coast park with kenneth on saturday.. and guess what? for the first time, i'm able to cycle one and a half hrs straight! what an achievement! even though i had a slight fall, but i really thank God that i was perfectly fine except for slight bruises.. haha.. it really feels good to be able to be by the sea and simply enjoying God's creations in a non-stressful manner.. such a wonderful time just flies so fast.. why?? sob sob..
At least i can finally declare that i'm free from heavy commitment in terms of programme leadership now. Had the counselling talk yesterday from our guest speaker, Terence Tan.. I'm really thankful that he's willing to come by n did all the preparation to give this inspiring talk to all our young people. Though the turn out was not as expected, but i'm very encouraged esp by the younger ones who came.. How they participated actively and asking questions.. But i guess its just the people issue that i've been struggling, similarly to the BB CARES.. i'm so anxious in getting people to participate, but its really not easy.. i get easily discouraged when people turned me down despite all that i've been doing to encourage them to come as well as inviting their friends too.. sending emails, printing out brochures, personal invitations, sending out smses even to my own circle of friends.. but i just got to say to myself that i've already tried my best, even as i stayed will 2am the night before, doing up the last minute preparations.. but ultimately, only God can do the rest.. i'm glad that some of my friends came and i really think that the session is indeed an enriching one.. its like a refresher course for me too.. for those we who didnt make it and are interested can get the notes from me.. =)
I'm really glad that I had my last lesson for my counselling course last monday, where i've been busy preparing for my presentation on ADHD. I've got my mondays free once again! yeah! I'm slowly clearing up my commitments as i finally had the courage to give up my piano lesson, having my last lesson this wed too.. My last day of tuition will also be in oct, after my student finishes his PSLE.. Time really flies, that i've already taught Rahimi for almost a year. I'll seriously miss him, but I'm not ready to continue to teach him any as he progresses to his secondary school education, which i'm sure he's able to make it through.. =)
i have only less than a month of break before i offically resume my degree course in biomedical science, when my schedule will go back to the yacky state again, with lessons every mondays, wednesdays, fridays and saturdays.. i seriously dont know how i'm going to go through this for the next 3 years.. back to the 'no-life' state again.. sighzZz..
i've always wished that i can have more time for myself, just to relax and really enjoying myself in a hectic-free schedule just for once.. i would love to just go and keep myself away from this state, to go for a short holiday.. but i'm really not sure if i'm ever going to make it this year.. considering my calender have been packed from end of september all the way to next year before i can have my break from school again..
Still waiting... waiting... waiting...
BB CARES 2007 Carnival!
BB CARES 2007!
Its been a busy busy period, with so many things going on.. And yea! the BB CARES Carnival is finally over! Though its been a tough time doing all the planning, I thank God for the overwhelming responses, both from the Rainbow kids & family and the volunteers.. I cant deny that its been really stressful, esp when I felt as though that I'm doing a one-man show for the entire event.. Not being able to get enough manpower was the worse nightmare. I'm thankful that Kenneth came to help is one way or another..I think I would have broken down if I were to do it entirely all by myself.. And I really thank God that He'd sent all His angels right before me to help up during the event, just before the day! How much more blessing can God gives! He's really amazing, a faithful God full of surprises.. =)
But its been a joy to see that the Rainbow kids are enjoying themselves, not the mentioned at the sight of watching the BBGB members serving these children with heart of gold.. Just wanting them to be happy, which was what most of them hope to achieve when asked during the Devotion i shared on the good Samaritian prior to the carnival.. its really warmth my heart to hear that they're eager to have another chance to do it again!
A short report on the carnival can be found here. =)
Far Beyond
Far Beyond
Words & Music by Leslie Ludy
VERSE 1
I hear it in a love song or see it on a movie screen
The kind of perfect love story
That I have always dreamed
Would somehow come into my life
And yet it seems so out of reach
It’s all I think about sometimes
Will I ever find a love that’s meant to be?
Maybe these thoughts seem foolish
To a holy God who made the sea and land
But You were the one who created
Love between a woman and a man
And deep inside I hear You say
You see all my hopes and fears
And if I give to You the pen of my life
You’ll write a tale that all heaven can cheer
CHORUS
Far beyond my deepest heart’s desire
Far beyond what I could ever dream
Far beyond my fairy tale imaginations
Is Your perfect plan for me
There’s no limit to romance in all its beauty
When the author of love shapes my destiny
Far beyond the most that I could long for
I will find the dreams You have dreamed for me
VERSE 2
I could search forever
I could look for true love everywhere
If all my dreams were answered
They still could not compare
To the beauty of Your ways
And all Your plans for my life
‘Cause You’ve been scripting out a story for me
Before the very foundations of time
